On May 8th, 2010, LGL and other human rights activist organised the first Baltic Pride in Vilnius, Lithuania. Multiple political parties and right wing organizations tried to prevent the event from happening. Ultimately, the court ruled the event could take place, but it was prohibited to walk through the city center.
The event eventually took place on an open field on a river bank, completely surrounded by fences. 300 people attended, surrounded by 800 police men and 3000 anti-protestors.
